RANKING SYSTEM

Athletes will accumulate points during the season, at the end of the year the first 3 places in each belt will be awarded, to be eligible to win the season title athletes must participate in at least 3 of the 4 events, there also needs to be at least 10 athletes in the division competing throughout the year, and they need to have placed 1st in at least one division normal or absolute category.

In the case of a tie breaker situation we will assign final ranking based on the following criteria:

1. Number of Submissions

2. Points Awarded

3. Penalties received.

Athletes will score points as explained below:

DIVISIONS

1st place - 6 points

2nd place - 3 points 

3rd place - 1 point

Submission - 1 extra pointAbsolute divisions make the same amount of points as regular divisions

At the end of the year the 3 highest ranking in each belt will win:

KIDS ALL BELTS and ADULTS WHITE, BLUE and PURPLE BELTS (GI AND NO GI)

BROWN BELT GI

• $500  (only 1st place - Subject to meeting requirements of attending a minimum of 3 events in the competition year)

If there is a draw the below criterias will be considered:

1 - How many wins the academy had for the season

2 - How many losses the academy had for the season

3 - How many submission the academy had for the season
