Prime BJJ Series general information for athletes and coaches:

1.         Divisions adjustments:

All local tournaments start with combined ages, such as 4 and 5, 6 and 7, and so on. Differently, In order to create the most fair and exciting tournament in BC we initially open kids registration with age categories within each year of birth. However, we expect to have to combine some ages in order to have reasonable amount of kids in each division as follows.

KIDS IN DIVISIONS WITH LESS THEN 4 ATHLETES WILL BE MOVED UP ONE AGE DIVISION AUTOMATICALLY. EXAMPLE: 6yrs will move to 7yrs divisions, 8yrs to 9yrs divisions, etc. Other possibilities are: moving up one weigh division and in some rare cases one belt level.
For weights categories we use IBJJF standard for Kids (between 5.6lbs and 6.6lbs) and Adults divisions. For kids NoGi there is a deduction of 2lbs or 3lbs for the Gi.

2.         Registration:

Registration opens on November 18, 2022. All participants will receive a complementary event t-shirt.

Prices for Gi or NoGi are:

·             Early Bird – $80.00 from Nov 18, 2022 to Jan 8th, 2023 or until we reach 350 registrations

·             Regular registration – $95 until Jan 27th, 2023 or until we reach 500 registrations

·             Late registration – $120.00 until February 3rd, 2023 or until we reach 600 registrations

Discount for a second division will be added at the checkout. For example:

·             Gi = $80.00 (early bird)

·             NoGi = $80.00 – $50.00 = $30.00

·             Registration for both divisions = $110.00 (early bird)

Registration deadline on February 3rd at 11:59pm. No exceptions.
